Celtics Extend Series Lead To 2 0

Bostons Depth Proves Too Much for Dallas, Despite Luka-Kyrie Duo

Celtics Extend Series Lead to 2-0

Despite a strong performance from Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, the Boston Celtics' depth proved too much for the Dallas Mavericks in Game 2 of their Western Conference semifinals matchup.

The Celtics, who hold the league's best record, started the game strong and never looked back. They dominated the Mavericks on the boards, outrebounding them 52-31, and shot the ball efficiently, hitting 50% of their shots from the field.

Jayson Tatum led the way for the Celtics with 28 points, while Jaylen Brown added 22 points. Kyrie Irving scored 24 points for the Mavericks, while Luka Doncic had 23.

The Celtics now hold a 2-0 lead in the series and will look to close it out in Game 3 in Dallas on Thursday.

The Mavericks will need to find a way to slow down the Celtics' offense if they want to get back in the series. They have allowed the Celtics to shoot over 50% in both games and have not been able to keep up offensively.

Game 3 of the series is scheduled for Thursday, May 11, at 9:30 PM ET on ESPN.
